I saw a tweet @nasilemak_m7 of this dish and replied ‘dam that looks good’.
The creator invited me to ‘pop in’ and try it. The proof trully is in the eating and I ate every morsel.
Nasi Lemak are delivering the pop up dining experience all over the Greater Manchester area.
Pop-up dinners are one-time food events that offer guests a taste of something different. Whether it’s an unexpected location, a personal interaction with the chef, or a unique menu or theme, these events cater to the ‘Experiential Diner’ who craves not just an amazing meal, but a new and exciting dining experience. From a ‘Top Chef’ collaborative dinner, to underground supper clubs.
Nasi Lemaks Street Food is Malaysian cuisine made up of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai cooking but interpreted in Malaysian style.
Jimmy told me that the people who attend his events tend to be passionate about food.
‘This is not a restaurant experience and so needs to be balanced with a warm, friendly atmosphere. You must be able to able to transmit your passion for cooking and hosting through your food’.
During the weekends they pop up at Friday Food Fight Manchester, Guerrilla Eats, Wilmslow Market and Altrincham Market. From April their team of chefs will feature at various Manchester ‘Kitchen Takeover’ events. This means you can dine at select cafes, bars or restaurants and it will be Nasi Lemak serving up Malay Street Cuisine for the evening.
Contact Nesi Lemak for a list of their next street dining experience or to book them for your private function.
