The room fills up
The Rossendale Business League grows in popularity as more the 30 people representing local and regional businesses’ attended. With a solid core of active and motivated members this event will grow and grow.
Suzanne Edmonds of Square peg Associates and a great advocate of my business (And I of hers) introduced me to her new employee Claire Smith. It’s great to see Suzanne’s business growing and supporting the Business League. Suzanne also passed me a referral to the Dearden Tea Rooms in Haslingden. I am now preparing a Merchant Application for the business.
It was also great to see Rob Carder at the event. Rob and I had a brief discussion about future collaboration which will include ‘Whale Hunting’. More on that to follow.
Following the two rounds of seated networking and lunch was time for the interview spot..
The interviewee was Lisa Vincent of Rossendale Hospice – Marketing & Corporate Development Manager:
Lisa spoke openly and frankly about her role with the Rossendale hospice and her personal journey in arriving there.
These interviews demonstrate how regular people with vision, motivation, and support can achieve extra ordinary feats and/or results.
A feature of the Hospices next fund raiser is ‘Fire Walking’. I’m not sure that I’m sufficiently motivated to step on ‘Hot Coals’
