For the final ACCROSS Business League before the Rebrand Berni was up to strength.
She played and early one two with Ray Felters who linked up with Kelly Anderton ACCROSS. Ray and Kelly work closely with Corporate & SME’s Identifying training and development opportunities.
Berni than layed the ball straight to Chrissy Pilkington whose first touch was magnificent. Chrissy had the crowd applauding as she thanked Berni for the great job she’d done with the Business League and pledged the Chambers continued support.
Jo, back to her magnificent best moved through the oppositions as if they were all seated. Following a few crowd pleasing tricks she announced the successes of Hyndburn Trust and then volleyed with the results of the fund raising in aid of international Women Event (£400). She rounded off her hat trick with plans for another fund raising event open to all.
Seated formal networking and lunch.
The second half was about re-organising the team. Berni dispelled any rumours regarding the future of ‘The Business Leagues’, outlined the new formation and re-assigned the public Forums on LinkedIn.
I was allowed a free kick and asked for support in aide of the local Charity The All Together Club. They support local children and young people with disabilities.
This is NOT to be missed. Regular League members Simon Crompton, Mike Lister, Russel Piercy and me attended an earlier event where Chris gave a taster of what’s install. We were in complete agreement – fantastic.
Berni announced the next Rossendale event, 17th April and then blew full time. As usual, extra time was played by several attendees – me included.
Special thanks to Kevan Gregory, Chris Wood and Julie Young for the referrals today, Alan Varley for accepting an introduction from me and Peter Macgregor of PLTV for agreeing to a meeting to discuss partnerships.
