Imelda (Smith) O’Keeffe
Managing Director, Personal Performance and Development Coaching.
Imelda O’Keef left me in no doubt that her passion is people. As I entered her office, coffee in hand, I gazed around the room, scouting for clues maybe, about this person. I noticed several framed awards on the walls and window sills. A studious and highly qualified person, I thought.
Imelda immediately made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Our conversation initially moved away from our professional services towards our views and experiences of developing our professional network of contacts and the value of such. We shared anecdotal tales of networking, allies who shared our views and vision and acquaintances who helped to provide us with fresh ideas and insights outside our normal sphere.
Our paths had crossed once before. Imelda delivered a session at the East Lancs. Chamber offices as part of the ‘Useful 60 Minutes’ programme. I remember she discussed the Myers Briggs Type indicator MBTI®. This resource looks at people’s strengths and preferences. When individuals are working with their natural strengths and talents they are more likely to enjoy what they do and excel. In a work or commercial setting, this could mean productivity and the bottom line increase!
Imelda has a pragmatic approach to life and believes that change is the only constant. If you are dealing with change, trying to build a dynamic work group, solve team problems or create a more effective and productive team, Imelda can help you.
We concluded our meeting by identifying ways in which we may be able to help each other’s business.
As Imelda and I walked to the reception area, we continued to chat. I thanked her for her time and genuinely felt please to have spent time in her company. I look forward to sharing referrals, introductions and coffee.
Thank you Imelda
