I received a call from a prospect. I had been referred to her following a visit and presentation at a networking event. The prospect accepted my offering. Just as we concluded the meeting, I received another referred call. As I took down the details, the present prospect could not help but comment on what she was witnessing and then proceeded to give me referrals for two businesses adjacent to hers.
During the visit with the second prospect, it transpired that the referrer was not a client or a ‘networker’ but someone who I had advised but did no business with.
It is so important that we leave the right impression with everyone we come into contact with.
